Rules
The rules are the same as regular chess except for these changes. For a refresher of those rules, check out this video. Customize your army by swapping out for different pieces. Hover over a piece says what it does. Only certain pieces can replace certain types of pieces. You can rearrange their starting positions too. You are allowed to remove non-king pieces on your first row if you want. Each piece has a weight, your army’s total weight cannot exceed 150 for online play.

In the campaign, you begin with a limited number of pieces. You can purchase new pieces with the gold you gain from beating levels as well as earn some for free. Move your king along the path. As you reach different destinations you can collect gold, unmake, items, free pieces, and battle. You can only move to the right; you cannot move backwards. While battling, hover over a piece and hold down the shift key to see its available moves. Hold down control to see a piece’s card description.

During a battle you can use an unmake token to undo your last move. Items are consumable pieces you can drop onto your half of the board to use for the rest of the battle. Consumed items won’t be available after the battle. Make your way through the campaign and beat the final level to win!

  1. Reminds me of ouroboros king I’ll give this a try tho!

  2. Fun fact : This was actually supposed to be Chess 2, but since it was too hard to play, even for the more skilled players, they decided that this game should only be on India, and instead, we got the Chess that we know today, with Chess All-Stars, the original Chess 2 was now know as Chess the Lost Pieces

  3. this is just that super old flash game, chess evolved. it's still on steam, i think. that game was so cool.

look at what they have to do to mimic a fraction of our power!

  4. So if the piece on the map screen can only move forward, shouldn't it be a pawn, not a king

Rules: The rules are the same as regular chess except for these changes. For a refresher of those rules, check out the original how to play chess video. The object of this game is to have Yoshi to win your chess game. Setup: Layout the board and place out the pieces. The pieces are: Rook, Knight, Bishop, Queen, King, Bishop, Knight, Rook. There is no Yoshi as a chess piece. En passant is not allowed. You are not allowed to castle. The first player to checkmate their opponent, wins.

  12. Frozen King Chess:

Frozen King Chess is a chess variant that I made up when Triple S Games sent a community post about how we can come up with chess variants of our own. This is how it works:

In this variant, you are not allowed to move your king unless it is in check and you move it out of check (you HAVE to move the king out of check in order to be able to move it for the rest of the game), or until you castle. Thus, your king’s first move of the game is either to move out of check or to castle. The first player to deliver checkmate wins!

There are also some amazing chess variants that have captured my interest. Here they are:

    – Swiss Chess
    – Explosive Chess
    – Ghost Chess
    – Ice Chess

  15. Really love to see more chess inspired games with fairy pieces, it makes the game more diverse and dynamic

  16. Please make a Lost Pieces guide that tells us how each new piece moves

  17. So this is like the "Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels" of Chess?

  18. What if pieces that died never come back and you get some piece every new game

  19. I was trying to recover pieces I previously bought but replaced and I couldn't find any way to do so. Doesn't that make redeeming the pieces on Discord pointless since they'd be gone as soon as you replace them, or is there some way to recover previous pieces? Thanks.

  20. Please add "5D chess with multiverse time travel" to playlist

  21. Is there a list of the chess pieces somewhere online?
