Never heard of this before! I like that the actual powers of the pieces are the same. Another simple variant championed by Krammik is No Castle Chess. Not a lot of draws with that! Plus no berolina pawns or grasshoppers to deal with. Just a pre-1485 version of chess, kinda. Cheers, bro, and thank you.
